There where only so many Radio NZ pod casts we could listen to on line befor we started wondering what is going on around us here , so out we went and brought a 'Solarlink' multipurpose radio , it has many features , AM/FM , NOAA weather alert, built in flash light, solar powered & crank powered or battery power, 3 AA"S and rechargeable, emergency siren, flashing SOS beacon ,USB cellphone charger ,time , date and alarm clock , AUX input so we can plug in the , iBook , iPhone or iPad.
So now we know whats happening here, and its not just us.
