Saturday on 'The High line'

The High Line ia a 2.3 km NYC park built on a section of the former elevated freight railroad , which runs along the lower west side of Manhattan , it has been redesigned and planted as an aerial greenway. The last train was in 1980 with a load of frozen Turkeys.

Saturday was a perfect sunny autumn afternoon an as we strolled along the pathway under a covered section, we came across a free open air performance by Naomi Goldberg Haas, Dances For A Variable Population, and senior citizens from Hudson Guild, a multi-service agency that provides programs and services to seniors and other residents of the Chelsea community. It was great, these women where a shining example that your never to old to give it a go !
