The first few days

We flew into NYC on Aug 31st.
Arriving at Newark Airport in to summer temperatures well in the 30's , jumping into a yellow cab and getting out at our new temporary home  275 1st av , between 14th and 15 streets in the East Village We have a room in a second floor apartment belonging to  Giarna,  a kiwi expat who has lived in NYC for 16 years. Along with Giarna comes Tane the most adorable tan Chihuahua.

We're close to the underground and are getting the hang of which line to catch and which station to get off at for all the fantastic things this city has to offer. It takes Kirsty around 20mins with a combination of walking and underground to get to school www.icp.org
It's a great part of town close to the humming Union Square , where on Wednesday's and Saturday's there is a sumptuous and abundant organic food market.

  1. Ahh, now I can keep up with NYC through 2 kiwi sets of eyes. Great ! I have never been there, so it will give me a view too. Hope to experience it with you sometime this year. Keep writing !
